OUR STORY / BUILT ON SERVICE

Built by responders.
Grounded in service.

Fire service and Defence experience, brought together through engineering, research and product development.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE EQUIPMENT

First-hand experience.
Practical purpose.

Responder Technologies is veteran-founded and based in Geelong, Victoria. Our founders come from fire services and Defence, and the equipment we create is shaped by people who understand the work.

We bring together operational service, engineering and applied research to develop technology for training, response and demanding working environments. Our starting point is the task, the conditions and the person relying on the equipment.

That means considering how a device is worn, how a system is used under pressure, what an instructor needs on the training ground and how equipment will be maintained and supported after delivery.

Our founders have taken products from research and early prototypes through development, commercialisation and field deployment. That experience guides the products we build and the projects we support.

FOUNDERS’ DEPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

From development
to global deployment.

Our founders have deployed products across all seven continents. We understand the work that follows development: installation, training and ongoing support in the field.

TWO BACKGROUNDS. A SHARED PURPOSE.

Operational knowledge.
Engineering depth.

Our collective experience connects fire service practice and military service with the technical work required to turn a useful idea into working equipment.

Understand the response.

First-hand firefighting and training experience informs how we approach responder safety, equipment usability and practical skills development.

It brings the realities of physical workload, protective equipment, communication and changing conditions into the design conversation from the beginning.

Build the capability.

Military service, electronics, communications, simulation and systems integration experience inform how we develop, connect and deploy technology.

We consider reliability, maintainability, operator training and support alongside the hardware and software, so the complete system is easier to use and sustain.

EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE PRODUCT LIFECYCLE

From research
to practical use.

Our background spans the technical, operational and commercial work needed to move a system forward.

01

Research & development

Applied research, immersive simulation, electronic systems and early-stage product development. Turning an operational need into something that can be built and evaluated.

02

Product & integration

Connecting mechanical design, electronics, software and manufacturing, with documentation and training considered as part of the same product.

03

Deployment & support

Experience preparing, commissioning and supporting technology in the field, including international deployments and the practical demands of working across organisations.
